********RESEARCH A CHRISTMAS TRADITION:**********

Some Christmas traditions in North America are:
Hanging stockings
Christmas trees
Mistletoe
Santa Claus
Christmas Caroling (singing)

1. Research a Christmas tradition on the Internet. Where does the tradition come from? There are many sources of information and different stories. Which one do you believe? Print it out.

2. Does your culture celebrate Christmas? If yes, how is it different than the way we celebrate in North America?

3. What does Christmas mean to you (even if you do not celebrate it)? Peace and joy? A time for family and giving? Overindulgence (buying and eating too much)?

If possible, please post your research result and your answers to the questions here in the comments.

Be prepared to discuss your research and questions in groups tomorrow

Christmas day is so merry day.
But God's heart is very sad,
because God had to send his only son Jesus in the sinful world.

Where is parents have to send his son into the battle?
But God sent his only son Jesus with pleasure.
God knew that he was killed by the people in this world.
Nevertheless, God has sent his son.

Do you can send your son into battle?
Absolutely, I can't send my son into war of death!
But God can do!
I believe that God!
My God is great and almighty!

But....Oh My God!
We greeted him at the manger stall of cheap Inn.
Can you imagine that your son is born at humble manger stall ?
not Hospital!, not warm house!
How God was so sad?
Man is selfish but God is LOVE.

Christmas day is so merry but also sad.
Think of the 'Pierrot of circus'.
His mouth laughing but his eyes are sad.
The figure of Pierrot is the image of God.

Holly Christmas day is better than merry Christmas.
but Merry Christmas to me!! Merry Christmas to you!!
also Holly Christmas to God!!

In heaven, the glory! Peace on earth! (Luke 2:14)
